All that I remember from Digimon Story Super Xros Wars

Digimon Story Super Xros Wars

What it's and Where it's

Digimon Story Super Xros Wars: Red/Blue is the last game for the Nintendo DS of the "Digimon Story" series. While the first Story games had the anime series "Digimon Savers" as the background setting for business reasons, this one has Xros Wars, also for business reasons.

While I wrote in my Twitter threads, someone asked me "where" this game took place. First, this game is related to the "anime version" of Digimon Xros Wars. If you don't care about this, you can skip to the next topic that will be about the story itself.

In the promotional material of the series, that could be seen in various magazines and websites, the following was stated about the game and its setting:

The Digimon series began with the "Digital Monster" handheld game released by Bandai in 1997, and has since been developed into a multi-media series that includes TV anime, movies, card games, and comics, and more. This is the latest title in the series of games for the DS that started with "Digimon Story" in 2006.

Incidentally, Digimon Xross Wars is a TV anime series that started in the summer of 2010, featuring first-year middle school student Kudou Taiki and his friends. The setting of the game is the familiar Digital World, which differs in many ways from the settings of previous titles, such as the focus on power-up through "Fusion" (DigiXros) instead of "Evolution."

The game is set in the Digital World, as explained above, but it is an original story in a phantom area that does not appear in the anime.

This is a spin-off work of the currently airing anime "Digimon Xross Wars," with a completely new story centering on the main characters, Kudou Taiki and Shoutmon.

This title follows the system of the "Digimon Story" series for the DS, and recreates the world of the TV animation "Digimon Xros Wars" currently being broadcast. It features "Digifusion" (Fusion), a new training system that replaces "Evolution".

The anime "Digimon Cross Wars" makes its first appearance in the "Digimon Story" series!

The story takes place in the "LS-tou Zone", a phantom area that isn't mentioned in the anime! One day, a mysterious melody sends a young boy named Taiki and Shoutomon to the "LS-tou Zone".

Also in a more recent interview at 4Gamer with producer Kazumasa Habu, he mentioned Super Xros Wars as the same as other anime-related games.

There are several games that have been tied more deeply to the anime, such as Digimon Adventure Anode Tamer & Cathode Tamer for the WonderSwan, Digimon Savers Another Mission for the PS2, and Digimon Adventure for PSP. However, other than Super Xros Wars, the worldbuilding and lore for the Story series has no basis on the anime.

A few times ago I saw some people thinking that maybe the games could in fact be following the story of the manga, or even not following either, but no. The game is based on the anime series (I thought that the opening with screenshots of the anime should be clear enough) in the same way that other games are, but of course that doesn't mean that the game matters for the story of the anime.

Of course the game follows from certain points of the anime and it does make references to anime-events, but other than that, you can think of them being stand-alone and in the end, it really doesn't matter more than how other anime-based games mattered, that is little to nothing to the anime itself, outside of the already mentioned business reasons.

Of course this is only about how Digimon Story Super Xros Wars connects with the Xros Wars side of things, but what about the "Digimon Story" side ? Being honest this was the very reason why I played Super Xros Wars to begin with, so I of course want to talk about the answer.

The "Digimon Story" series changed its settings and worldview a lot of times across the DS games, at least with not being clear enough. But, none of that really matters if you think that Super Xros Wars gives another retcon. After the events of the main game Taiki gains access to the "Digi Colosseum" at the "Colosseum Zone" where he can fight against characters from the previous titles of the Story series.

There it's explained that in fact, all of them are heroes who save that same Digital World before Taiki did and now Taiki has the chance to fight with the heroes who saved the Digital World in the past. Not only that but the games gives a very specific explanation for what the "Digi Colosseum" is as a place at the very core of the Digital World and that in reality it's very possible that you can think of the Digital World and the Digi Colosseum as being in fact, the same thing.

So, you take this in any way that you want, but I can say that I really liked the explanations about the Digi Colosseum.

The Story itself

Before I start with my stuff, the first events of the game were transleted as a  Proof of Concept for a translation of the game and are available to watch in the Youtube Channel "Kheart Z". First Part and Second Part.

I recommend you watch that before moving on to get a more accurate idea of how the story starts.

So, as Taiki you are called to the LS-Tou Zone by a mysterious melody and find the Digimon known as "Spadamon" and now needs to stop the organization known as "ROG" (As far as I could understand, the game never explains what that name means).

In the LS-Tou Zone there's a place known as the "Sky Fort" that will be your base of operations and that has two computers, one that gives access to the DigiLab and the other to the DigiFarm. The place also has a Quest Monitor and the Patamon that helps Taiki explained that all of that was there since long ago and was used by those who protected that Zone.

The Sky Fort gains power with the "Condenser Tower" that are located in various regions in the LS-Tou Zone and those places are normally inhabited by other Digimon, but now due to ROG all of them were deactivated and the Sky Fort is losing energy. So your job during most of the game will be to travel across the LS-Tou Zone and reactivate the multiple Condenser Tower while defeating the ROG Leaders and regaining Spadamon's memories.

Spadamon's regained memories of the legendary "Weapon Digimon" that existed in the LS-Tou Zone and that could either save or destroy the whole world. It seems that the ROG's last leader, Zeed Millenniumon, wanted to revive this being and take over the world. If that power was unlocked, not only the LS-Tou Zone, but the whole Digital World could be destroyed.

There's also a mystery of how Spadamon can reactivate the Condenser Towers and also memories about a Digimon named "Dynasmon".

Since most of the game is this cycle, I think I can simply skip to the Crystal Volcano where you need to defeat the leaders again in order to find the last boss, it's also the place where Taiki, Spadamon and Shoutmon thinks that Zeed will revive the Weapon Digimon.

The first Leader that you defeat is Minotaurmon, the same from the game's opening. After being defeated again, Minotaurmon calls Zeed Millenniumon in order to gain more power. As a ROG member Minotaurmon is willing to do anything, even self sacrifice. Then a shadow appears asking for Minotaurmon's power. If Minotaurmon's was destined to become data dust, they could at least become one. After eating the Digimon, the shadow says to have got the data of "Power". Of course the heroes think this was Zeed Millenniumon.

The next one is Pukamon, ROG's "Splash Leader". I really can't remember the first time that Pukamon appeared. Taiki warns Pukamon of the "shadow", and Pukamon just laughs. The ROG members know about the shadow, that it's their final destiny to be absorbed and become one with their leader. After being defeated the shadow appears again, called by Pukamon as the "Emperor of Darkness" and is after Pukamon's "Wisdom" data.

The next leader is Minervamon. This one is also a member of the "Team Cute ❤" that is all about cuteness. Minervamon befriends a Chibickmon, but in the end Minervamon was also a ROG Member and was keeping Cutemon under their control so they could make Dorulumon fight Taiki. Of course now Taiki wants to talk with Minervamon, because he doesn't believe that Minvervamon is really a bad Digimon. However the shadow appears so they could become one, the shadow wants Minervamon's "Agility" data.

The next leader is Ice Devimon, ROG's Ice, "Blizzard", Leader. Something interesting about this one is that Shoutmon does mention the events of the anime, remembering the time when an Ice Devimon was in Daipenmon's Ice Cream. The mist appears after Ice Devimon and is asking for the "Cunning" data. After all that data is collected, a new existence would appear at the Ω Area.

After Ice Devimon, the next one is ROG's Poison Leader "Archnemon the Predator". Originally Archnemon had Sparrowmon under control using Zeed Millenniumon's powerful illusory techniques. Archnemon admires Zeed Millenniumon, the one at the top of ROG, and everything done there is so the leader can be happy. As Archnemon is defeated, once again it's said that everything done there was to please Zeed. ROG and the Weapon Digimon didn't matter for Archnemon, only Zeed's happiness. They should have controlled the Weapon Digimon, being able to rule, destroy and recreate the entire LS-Tou Zone, but they couldn't due to Dynasmon. The mist appears and absorbs Archnemon due to the "Cruelness" data.

The next is ROG's Shining Leader, Pharaohmon The Grave. This Digimon is said to have created the Desert Ruins and will destroy anyone who opposes ROG. Pharaohmon was capable of using the "Pyramid Power" at Desert Ruins to turn into Anubimon. Both Shoutmon and Spadamon mention that it wasn't anything like DigiXros, DigiFusion nor JogressUp. There Anubimon also explained that the ROG needed to find Spadamon and the seal of the legendary Weapon Digimon. But now they already found the seal, so they didn't need Spadamon anymore. In the rematch they only fought against Pharaohmon, since that place didn't have the Pyramid. The mist appears for Pharaohmon's "Tenacity" data, they will become one so Pharaohmon wouldn't have to fear, worry or suffer for anything.

After this they finally meet Zeed with Algomon (Perfect) and Infermon. Zeed is happy that finally they could go to Lost Space, remove the seal and free the Legendary Weapon, the Legendary Digimon. Algomon thinks that Zeed is acting strange, however Infermon says that everything should be fine as long as ROG gains control over the Legendary Weapon and rules over everything.

There they find Kirha, who started this story being controlled by someone, but is now free from that. Kiriha explains that ROG's objective is to find and revive the Legendary Ancient Weapon. Kiriha explains that the Legendary Weapon is in fact a Digimon that can turn into the strongest weapon. It was because of such Weapon Digimon, with the power to destroy the world, that the LS-Tou Zone was always a target for invasions. In the past it was Dynasmon who protected the LS-Tou one with its Weapon Digimon, but for some reason now the Weapon Digimon was sealed. After he finishes this explanation, he asks Taiki to defeat Zeed as only he had the power to do that.

Zeed doesn't speak a lot and is quickly defeated. Of course Shoutmon thinks this has ended, but it didn't. Zeed starts to laugh and the black mist appears, surprising the heroes who thought that the mist was Zeed.

The mist asks for Zeed's data of "Hatred" so now they have all the needed data, all that they need to do is to find the Ω Area in the place known as "Lost Space". The mist calls the name of Taiki, General of the Xros Heart, and Kiriha, General of Blue Flare (If it's the Red version it should be Nene), thanking them for their work in this project. As such, they can finally see who is behind all of that, Barbamon.

Kiriha does know who Barbamon is, one of the worst Digimon who does anything that is possible to get what is wanted. Kiriha was being controlled by Barbamon during the game. Barbamon explains that the place where they are, known as Earth Fort, was merely the place where Barbamon would collect the data of the chosen ROG Members, the seal of the Weapon Digimon, Aramon, is really in the Lost Space. The reason for why Barbamon created ROG was to revive Armamon.

Barbamon attacks Taiki and the others, making them faint. Barbamon used Kiriha and the Condenser Towers as bait for Spadamon and the others. Now Barbamon doesn't want Kiriha to reveal anything before the correct time, so Barbamon sends Kiriha to another Zone, so he couldn't return to the LS-Tou Zone.

As Taiki awakens from the attack, he sees what Barbamon was doing and screams so Barbamon would stop. Barbamon says that there isn't a need to act like that. Kiriha was just sent to another zone, of course if he survived the transfer. Now they would need to act separated again, the volcano there becomes active and Barbamon goes somewhere else.

After Barbamon disappears they need to restart the Condenser Towers because now the Sky Fort ends up closed from the outside space due to a force field. But in the Condenser Towers are the top elite of Barbamon's organization, the Shadow Guard.

Also someone talked with Parrotmon saying what was going to happen, someone with a "calm and strong voice". It seems that as the 6th Condenser Tower was repaired some system got activated that changed the composition of the LS-Tou Zone data that allowed a new place to appear. Shoutmon thinks that the voice was Dynasmon.

The members of the Shadow Guard at the Condenser Towers are:
Lalamon, Lovely Elite

Main Devimon, Wet Elite

Tiger Vespamon, Speedy Elite

Gerbemon, Heavy Smell Elite

Rook Chessmon, Raise Elite

Megidramon, Blast Elite. This one is in fact the same Megidramon who is known as the Digital Hazard Dragon since ancient times and is now working for Barbamon in order to fight the "Chosen Hero".

When all of them are defeated, they all say that they'll become one with Barbamon, in fact Gerbemon states that everything will become a part of Barbamon. It seems that all the members of the Organization want, some desperately on weird levels, to become one with their leader, Barbamon.

Finally after the 6 Condenser Towers got reset, it was time to find the last one, which is guarded by Dynasmon. Finding there Dynasmon is confirmed to be who called them to that place. Dynasmon originally was one of the warriors who protected the LS-Tou Zone. Dynasmon is happy to see Spadamon and unlocks all the other memories that Spadamon didn't have. In fact it was Spadamon who entrusted Dynasmon with the memories.

Dynasmon believes that with the Xros Heart Spadamon could finally save the LS-Tou Zone, but before that they need to finish a test. A battle where Dynasmon wouldn't hold back, to see if Spadamon is prepared for the future.

After the fight ended, finally Dynasmon and Spadamon explained what happened. Taiki says that all that they know is that Barbamon wants to revive a Digimon known as Armamon that is sealed in a place known as the Lost Space and that has the power to destroy the world.

Dynasmon says that there's nothing wrong with what they know, but there's some other things that they need to know. Armamon isn't the only Weapon Digimon out there, in fact Spadamon is also a survivor of the Weapon Digimon. In the past there were a lot of Weapon Digimon who protected the LS-Tou Zone with warriors that they had chosen, Spadamon was the youngest of them and Dynasmon is kind-of Spadamon's teacher. Dynasmon sealed Spadamon's memories in order to protect it from invaders, and Taiki thinks this is why Spadamon could activate the Condenser Towers, Spadamon says that might have been due to something Dynasmon did.

As only an Administrator could activate the towers, Dynasmon was the one who first closed them, and so as Spadamon would become stronger with a team chosen by the youngster, then the towers would be unlocked so Spadamon could activate them. It was thanks to the adventures with the Xros Heart that Spadamon could grow to the point where all the Condenser Towers could be reactivated.

Shoutmon asks why Dynasmon didn't do anything until now, as Armamon should be Dynasmon's partner and they should be enough to stop the invasion. Spadamon explains Armamon was in fact the strongest of the Weapon Digimon in the past, but it was consumed by its own great power, forgetting the mission to protect the LS-Tou Zone.

Dynasmon used all of his power to stop Armamon and seal it, but during their battle, Dynasmon's Digicore got severely damaged. Since then Dynasmon has used the Capacitor System in order to maintain the data stable, but as soon as this power goes away, Dynasmon's data would disappear.

But now at least the LS-Tou Zone has a chance to survive with Spadamon and the Xros Heart. Spadamon resets the Capacitor System and they should be able to return to the Sky Fort. But before that, Dynasmon has something else to show to them. Dynasmon summons Beelebumon, someone that Taiki already knows. Dynasmon can see into other Zones and can bring Digimon from them as well. Shoutmon and Taiki notice this and ask if it was Dynasmon who summoned them as well, in the very beginning of the game, and Dynasmon confirms.

Dynasmon says that if they want more help, they could be summoned. Shoutmon asks if Dynasmon could find Kiriha that was sent to another Zone by Barbamon, but it seems that Barbamon sent Kiriha to a Zone far beyond what Dynasmon's power could reach. Shoutmon is afraid that Barbamon was being literal with Kiriha possibly not surviving the transfer, however Dynasmon was able to analyze Kiriha's data in the very moment that the Zone Transfer was happening, and nothing bad happened with Kiriha in that moment.

After this is explained the power that Dynasmon still had starts to end, and so Dynasmon disappears. Now all that they can do is return to the Sky Fort and find Barbamon.

Before fighting Barbamon at the Omega Area of the Lost Space, Taiki needs to defeat the last members of the Shadow Guard. They are Boltmon and Deathmon, the "Bloody Elite" and Lord Knightmon and Slash Angemon, the "Last Heaven Elite".

In the Omega Area the voice of a System says "Compound System Digicore Load Start" and Barbamon starts to say the names of the ROG Leaders. If you don't remember who they are and what they did, as Barbamon stated before:

Minotaurmon = Power

Pukamon = Wisdom

Minervamon = Agility

Ice Devimon = Cunning

Archnemon = Cruelness

Pharaohmon = Tenacity

Zeed Millenniumon = Hatred

Spadamon explains that the system is called the "System Ω '' and is what will revive Armamon, which could destroy not only the LS-Tou Zone, but the whole Digital World. Barbamon says that is exactly what is needed, with that power as Armamon's wielder, then the whole Digital World would be under Barbamon's control. Barbamon says that Spadamon should know what that means, as Spadamon is a Weapon Digimon just like Armamon. Spadamon says that this power isn't to be used to destroy the world, but to save it, that is the reason for why the Weapon Digimon exist. For a long time, Spadamon didn't have the memories that explained what they needed to do, but now they need to do everything that they can to save the world.

Barbamon notices that and wonders if Dynasmon finally restored Spadamon's memories. The Demon Lord states that Dynasmon was just unusable waste data that couldn't be used for Armamon's revival.  If the Digicore hadn't been damaged, then Dynasmon could have been used just like the ROG Leaders. The System needs to use Dark Hearts in order to revive Armamon, so using Zeed as a puppet Barbamon created the ROG in order to gather leaders with the necessary qualities.

Taiki can't believe that Barbamon is really sacrificing all of those Digimon. But Barbaon says that in the Digital World, it's natural for the weaker to be eaten by the stronger, that is the natural order of things. So Babramon is simply giving them the pleasure to be reborn as a stronger being. Of course the Xros Heart will try to stop Barbamon, that says that 3 weak beings are still weak, but in order to put equal numbers, Barbamon summons 2 black mists that turn into Barbamon.

The two Barbamon explains that the existence known as Barbamon is everything that the world really needs. As such all the world will become full of Barbamon. The same height, weight, power, even the shape of the toes. Everything will be the same, with the original Barbamon that has Armamon under control being the one in the top.

Xros Heart defeats the clones, but Barbamon says that was useless. Armamon will be revived in an instant so it could become Barbamon's sword. Armamon is released and Taiki already feels that Armamon is different from Spadamon. Armamon asks if Barbamon ws the one who activated the system. The Demon Lord confirms and says that was done so they could rule over the Digital World. In fact, they should do a test. Armamon should slash through everything, every single Digimon in the LS-Tou Zone as a training. Now that Armamon, known as the strongest Weapon Digimon, has revived, that Zone has no value for Barbamon, so it can be destroyed.

Armamon says that in fact, they could rule over the Digital World, power for that isn't something that is a problem for them. However, Barbamon's bad behavior is a problem. "I Want, I Want, I want", this is everything that Armamon sees Barbamon saying, pure greed over wanting things without an end, and that bad behavior, isn't something that Armamon likes. Barbamon couldn't be Armamon's master, but Armamon could be Barbamon's master. As such Armamon turns Barbamon into a sword.

Seeing that Shoutmon asks Spadamon if that was what it is like to become a Weapon. Spadamon says that Weapon Digimon are able to turn into weapons on their own, what Armamon did was to forcefully transform  a Digimon into a weapon. Spadamon simply can't believe that happened. Taiki, however, says that they need to stay calm. In a way Armamon just saved the LS-Tou Zone, so maybe he remembered his duty to protect the Zone. So he calls Aramon.

Armamon asks who they are. Taiki says that they don't want Armamon's power being used to take over the world. In the past Armamon protected the LS-tou Zone with Dynasmon, and he asks if there are any memories of that time. Armamon talks about being Dynasmon’s partner, and that it's possible to see remains of Dynasmon's data around them. Armamon asks what their connection was. Shotumon says that since they were partners, then they aren't each other's enemies. Armamon sees that they really know Dynasmon, but this in fact turns them into the enemy. Shoutmon doesn't understand what is happening. Spadamon says that Armamon forgot the mission of the Weapon Digimon as it was when Dynasmon did the sealing. Nothing has changed.

Armamon says that Dynasmon knew about the plan, and is the reason for why he was sealed. Shoutmon asks what the plan was. Collecting  all Digimon in the LS-tou Zone and putting them into the System Ω so Armamon can become the only Weapon left, that was the plan. Spadamon can't believe that Armamon planned to turn non-Weapon Digimon into a weapon. That is something that Armamon shouldn't do.

Spadamon starts to shine yellow and Shoutmon asks if everything is fine. Spadamon says that they need to be careful. Armamon's attack turned Barbamon into a weapon, since Spadamon is a Weapon Digimon, it can resist it. Shoutmon can't believe what is happening and Taiki asks Armamon to stop. Armamon says that they are just like Dynasmon, they don't understand how wonderful the plan really is. In order to completely protect this Zone from invaders, the only way to do that is by using the System Omega, Armamon will not allow them to stop this. Their battle starts.

After being defeated, Armamon starts to ask where "someone" is. Spadamon doesn't understand what Armamon is saying.

Armamon once again tries to affect Spadamon. What Armamon wants is Dynasmon. Shoutmon asks if Spadamon is okay, Spadamon says that if it wasn't due to being a Weapon Digimon, then they would be a weapon by now. Armamon accessed the mainframe of the System Omega in order to scan data in order to find Dynasmon."Checkpoint 82039". The search finishes. The Dynasmon ID is said to be lost. All that could be done is to find the last place where Dynasmon was, the hiding area that Spadamon found Dynasmon some time ago. Spadamon says to Armamon that Dynasmon is gone. Once again Armamon tries to affect Spadamon. Armamon can't believe what happened to Dynasmon. Shoutmon notices that Armamon returned to the System Omega. Maybe to be sealed again. But Taiki has a bad feeling.

Seeing this, Spadamon is very nervous. Shoutmon asks what happened. Armamon intends to absorb data using the "System Ω". Spadamon reminds them that a while ago Armamon said that a bit of Dynasmon data could be seen around them. That is what Armamon seems to be searching for.Taiki understands, Armamon wants to use the System Omega to absorb all the data and try to recreate Dynasmon using said data. Shoutmon can't believe that such a thing can be done.Spadamon says that it shouldn't be possible. Even if it could be done, it wouldn't be the same Dynasmon anymore.The Omega System announces "Compound System Free Load start". Something will happen...

Shoutmon asks if everything is alright with Taiki. He asks what happened, Shoutmon says that Taiki needs to look higher. There was Armamon, once again asking where Dynasmon was. Shoutmon says to never have seen a Digimon as dangerous as that one before. Spadamon explains that it is Ω Armamon Burst Mode. It's a Legendary Weapon Digimon known in the LS-tou Zone.

The System Omega is accumulating Digimon Data. Yet Dynasmon's ID hasn't been found in all of that data. Armamon doesn't understand why Dynasmon can't be found. They need to do something. Spadamon says that it could be possible to access the System Omega by being a Weapon Digimon. Spadamon tries to do that and starts to shine. "Security * Protocol Gate Code Reject" "Start Full Protection of the Omega Area" Armamon can't believe what is happening and asks Spadamon to stop.

But it is too late. The Omega Area has been sealed. Shoutmon asks what will happen to Armamon. Spadamon explains that Armamon is now fully connected with the System Omega. Until then, Armamon would absorb all of the Lost Space, all of the LS-tou Zone. Shoutmon says that they need to battle Armamon. Of course Taiki also wants to defeat Armamon and then they can return to the Skfort together. The final battle then starts.

After defeating Armamon, he once again calls for Dynasmon, saying that he was there for him. The System Omega identifies an abnormal activity in Armamon's Digicore and due to that it was forced to stop the download of data, however the termination process failed. The Digicore starts to malfunction, Spadamon explains that Armamon's Digicore has started to collapse due to being unable to control all the data flow, it can hardly sustain itself in this overflow situation.

Shoutmon asks if they don't have a choice other than kill Armamon, and could they kill someone so big ? Taiki asks if they can do anything to help Armamon, but Spadamon says that it's useless due to the overflow. One more time Armamon calls for the name of Dynasmon before disappearing.

The Digicore fully collapses and the System Omega gives the Code Red alarm and says that everyone needs to leave the Lost Space immediately. Shoutmon sees the huge black hole in the sky, and if they get sucked, they can't return anymore. But Taiki says that the Warp Portal got destroyed, and since Spadamon sealed the Omega Area they couldn't use a Gate Disk anymore. However, Spadamon would try to use the last of the System Omega features to send them to the Sky Fort.

However, Shoutmon does notice that Spadamon is a bit nervous. Spadamon does say that it's just due to having to search for the features in that situation, but they shouldn't worry, they two would both return to the Sky Fort safely. After hearing that, Taiki notices that Spadamon wants to be there alone. However, Spadamon says that since they were Weapon Digimon, Armamon can't be alone as well. So Spadamon wants to be with Armamon until the end. Spadamon says that they don't need to worry, they'll see each other again as soon as Armamon is stopped. Spadamon sends them back to the Sky Fort.

Now Spadamon thanks for the help given by Shoutmon, Taiki and Dynasmon. With the strength that he has now, maybe finally he'll be able to help everyone. Spadamon flies into the black hole.

Back at the Sky Fort, Akari calls for Taiki and Shoutmon. Now everyone is reunited at the Sky Fort and they try to explain what happened. Patamon says that something happened at the Lost Space as the data turbulence stopped along with all the strange events. Taiki and Shoutmon explain that Spadamon decided to stay at the Lost Space in order to stop the Weapon Digimon. Shoutmon gets sad for a moment, until someone calls from behind.

Spadamon is there. It was dangerous inside the black hole, but not impossible to escape. Using the strength that they got, it was possible to erase Armamon and the black hole, hoping that Armamon got to the same place as Dynasmon. Also, now the Lost Space turned into an area like any other, they can go there anytime they want.

Akari asks if Spadamon is a Weapon Digimon, from which Taiki asks what Spadamon will do now that both Armamon and Dynasmon are gone. Spadamon is now considered the strongest Weapon Digimon and as such, Spadamon decided that he'll still be protecting the LS-Tou Zone and asks if Taiki could be the warrior.

The chosen warrior is the one that the Weapon Digimon trusts with all of its power, so they can both protect the world. Spadamon wants to become Taiki's weapon. As Spadamon says that, Taiki's Xros Loader starts to shine. It's the Code Crown of the LS-Tou Zone. Spadamon was supposed to be protecting it,

However, Patamon asks if that is really good. The Code Crown is supposed to be given to someone who trained the Weapon Digimon and so Taiki couldn't leave the LS-Tou Zone until the training ended. But, Spadamon says that they are already very strong now, so that shouldn't take a lot of time. Shoutmon sees no problem with that. The Sky Fort is there so they can spend some time there, explore other areas that they didn't see before and help more Digimon.

And with this, the game ends.
